Shantai Educational & Social Trust (“the Trust”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in all financial transactions. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which refunds or cancellations may be considered for donations made through www.shantaisanstha.org.
1. Donations
All donations made to Shantai Educational & Social Trust are voluntary contributions intended to support our charitable, educational, and social welfare activities.
Once a donation has been successfully processed, it is generally considered final and non-refundable.
2. Cancellation of Donations
Since donations are processed immediately to support our ongoing charitable programs, cancellation requests cannot normally be accommodated after a successful transaction.
Donors are requested to carefully verify the donation amount and details before completing the payment.
3. Refund Policy
Refund requests may be considered only under the following exceptional circumstances:
Duplicate payment made due to technical error.
Incorrect donation amount entered accidentally.
Multiple transactions processed unintentionally.
Payment deducted from the donor’s account but the donation was not successfully received by the Trust.
All refund requests are subject to verification by the Trust.
4. Refund Request Procedure
To request a refund, the donor must contact us within 7 days from the date of the transaction and provide the following details:
Donor Name
Registered Email Address
Mobile Number
Donation Amount
Transaction ID
Date of Transaction
Reason for Refund Request
Refund requests may be submitted by email or phone.
5. Refund Processing
If the refund request is approved after verification:
The refund will be processed through the original payment method wherever possible.
Processing time may take 7 to 15 business days, depending on the payment gateway and the donor’s bank.
Any payment gateway charges, if applicable, may be deducted where permitted.
The decision of the Trust regarding refund requests shall be final.
6. Failed Transactions
If the payment has been deducted from your account but you do not receive a confirmation from the Trust, please contact us immediately.
After verification with the payment gateway:
The donation will either be successfully recorded, or
The payment will be automatically reversed by the payment gateway or bank, as applicable.
7. Tax Benefit Certificates
If a refund is approved after an 80G donation receipt has already been issued, the donor must return or cancel the issued receipt before the refund is processed.
8. Changes to this Policy
Shantai Educational & Social Trust reserves the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time.
Any updates will be published on this page with the revised effective date.
